名竹大橋 (Mingzhu Da Qiao)

In General:

The fault appeared to have crossed the end part of the bridge, and the girders of the end four spans collapsed due to the 3 m difference of ground elevation. Other parts of the bridge looked all right.
To bypass the damaged portion of bridge, a temporary access road was being constructed by mounting soil. The road was expected to be completed in a week.

Diagnosis:

It is practically impossible for any structure to survive above a fault. Although the girders fell down, very little structural damage was observed in the piers.
